4th March 2018 The Third Sunday of Lent
Good progress has been made this week by the painting team despite the weather, thank you to you all.
Today is the last day for the paint pot appeal to help fund all the materials needed. Please put donations in the basket or give to Peter direct. Thank you for your generosity, we will be able to make the house much brighter after all the painting. A lovely welcome gift to the new Associate Vicar.
Concerning the 2 clean up days on March 10th and 24th there are not many signed up yet. Remember you only need to come for part of the day. If you have a car and can take some stuff to the dump on that day that would be great.

There are a number of areas in the church that urgently need help so please think carefully whether you could be the answer to our prayers and needs.
Someone who could run the children’s work – once or twice a month. Another person needed to assist the leader.
Malcolm is stepping down as treasurer at the APCM so w need someone to be our treasurer and hopefully have time to liaise with Malcolm on the hand over. Malcolm could be replaced by two people, a bookkeeper and Treasurer, so if you have and bookkeeping experience do talk to us. (Jill, Debbie or Tim)
Home needed for Piano.
We have an upright piano that needs a new home. If you or anyone you know would like it for Free, Please speak to Debbie Jill or Peter. Collection from Ambleside Avenue will be necessary.
The PCC is aware of the ongoing issues in this area and the matter will be high on the agenda for their meeting in a couple of weeks time to determine the best way forward.
Hedley Visick, the heating contractor have visited and the ‘Boiler Relay’ system they say caused the problem. This has now been replaced and the heating is now working again!
