It is with sadness that we report the passing of Jack Escott on Tuesday December 31st at The Martlets Hospice after a period of ill health The funeral will be held at The Downs Crematorium Bear Road BN2 3PL on Monday January 28 at 3pm. Please try and remember Jenny in prayer at this time if you are not attending. All donations will go to The Martlets Hospice and Macmillan Cancer.

House move

Debbie and Robin Skilton will be moving house this week on Tuesday Jan 15 and we wish them every blessing in their new home. Clearly there will be some time of unpacking the endless boxes so please try and contact other church leaders where possible about church matters as far as is possible for the next couple of weeks, Thanks.

Prayer Time After Church

Starting from today every Sunday after the service there will be folks available to pray for anyone in the congregation who wishes to be prayed with privately. I have asked 2 or 3 people to be available each week in The Sussex Chapel. Just pop in there straight after the service. If the team is already praying with someone please sit in the main church until they are free. Do also feel free to hand a note with a prayer request. When this has been done occasionally, previously, there has been much blessing. Thus I felt it was the right time to make this available every week. You may wish for prayer for healing, encouragement, wisdom in making a decision, or many other things. Our God is interested in the little things as well as the bigger decisions. I am sure you will be blessed. Tim Mills

Getting Confirmed in 2019?

Confirmation is a special church service of celebration in which a young person or adult confirms the promises that were made when they were baptized, to commit their life to following Jesus Christ.

As a young person or adult, you may be ready to affirm these promises for yourself. If you feel that confirmation is right for you at this point in your Christian faith, please do speak to Mark or Tim.

Christmas Gifts

A big thankyou from Marion to all those who purchased gifts from her around Christmas. A cheque for £50 has been sent off to the Mothers Union.

Just a Reminder

There is an article in The Peacehaven Directory every month about life at our church. The January article is a review of the last year. Do take the chance to read it. If you don't get the magazine a copy is put each month in the church porch.

PCC Meeting

Please remember the PCC in your prayers as they meet at 7.15 on Tuesday January 15th to plan the future work of the church.
