Telscombe Church Concert

The Cross in Hand singers are coming to Telscombe church on the 21st of July – they will sing a mixed programme with some audience participation! The concert starts at 7.30pm £5 tickets. Tea, Coffee and Wine will be served. This will be in aid of the church which last week gave the go-ahead for the Waterloo project to go out to tender and off to the DAC for permission. This is the provision of a toilet and kitchen facilities with an estimated price of around £30,000

Volunteer Needed

Can you spare 1 hour a week on a Wednesday morning at 8 am to help Stuart the hall cleaning. In doing so you would be helping us save £1500 per year in cleaning costs! Please speak to Debbie or Jill if you can help

Cream Tea

A big thank you to Linda Martin and all who helped at the Ascension Cream tea – It was much appreciated by many and a great success.

Words for Hymns

All the words for the Hymns sung at Ascension Church are now available for you to use if you find the screen difficult to see. Please ask someone from the Welcome team and they will help you find what you need from the file. Many of the hymns are in the hymn book which is available in regular size print or large print. There are also two folders with all the hymns/songs in. Do take one of these if you find this easier to hold.

Andy Martin David Whitehouse John Booth and John Gilburt

We are all very grateful for the amount of time and effort these young men have been putting in over the last few weeks to keep the Church, Hall and grounds looking so good. Please give them a pat on the back!

Mark Hake

It is great to have Mark on board and to see him and Becca settling in so well. Two areas where Mark is immediately contributing are the Baptisms where he has become the first person to welcome people enquiring. He has also set up a Baptism preparation course for all to attend. The running of Kidz Club now is his responsibility. Our thanks go out to Priscilla who along with Emma has run this for the last two years. It is great to announce that Becca has said she is happy to lead two Sundays a month with the other two Sundays covered by Priscilla and Mark. Linda Martin and Chloe Draper have come forward as helpers which strengthens the team.

A Million bricks – Answers to Prayer

Following my mention of this amazing project, a tower of one million bricks, each one representing an answered prayer, it would be great if some of these bricks were answered prayers from us, the Ascension Family. If you have a story of an answered prayer then write it down and hand it to me and I will collect them all and send them off to the Million Brick organisation.
